The book of Exodus gives us the play by play on the children of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, where they had been slaves for 400 years. Their deliverance included traveling through a wilderness that they had never traveled before; having to trust God completely for all of their daily needs and having to trust God to really get them to this land that He had promised to them – a land that they had only heard of, but had never seen.

One of the major problems the children of Israel faced in getting to this promised land was the fact that the Red Sea was between them and the promised land and there was no way of crossing it. They panicked, but Moses - the man whom God chose to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land - knew that there was nothing God could not do and that He would make a way for them to cross the Red sea. Moses was right. God caused the sea to part and the Israelites were able to cross on dry ground.

The children of Israel identified the problem but didn’t see a solution. This made them afraid. Moses identified the problem, knew that it was too much for him to handle, released it to God and allowed Him to work it out.

We are all going to have problems from time to time but it is how we deal with our problems that will determine their outcome. The best way to deal with them is to deal with them the way Moses did. First, we have to identify the problem; then we need to determine if the problem is too much for us to handle and if it is, we need to release it to God and allow Him to work it out.

Do you know where you will spend eternity?

Hebrews 9: 27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgment.
