1st John 1: 7
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with
another and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we all live
our lives according to the word of God, then we will be in a right relationship
with Him and a right relationship with each other. We will be on one accord. We
will have fellowship with one another, share what we have with each other and
take care of each other as we would take care of ourselves. In other words, we
would truly do unto others as we would have them do unto us.
Love
Your Neighbour as Yourself
Matthew
19: 19b
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Do
unto Others
Do unto others
as you would have them do unto you
Matthew
7: 12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, do ye even
so to them…
All
Things Common
Acts
2: 44 -45
And all that believed were together and had all things common; and sold their
possessions and goods and parted them to all men, as every man hath need.
Observation
It is
impossible to have fellowship without relationship and there can be no
relationship if there is nothing in common. Many Christians do not get along
well with each other. They attend the same worship services but they are not on
one accord. Part of the reason for this is that your relationship with God is
personal. This means that everyone must spend time alone with God in His word
and in prayer, so that they can develop a relationship with Him and then they
can have fellowship with Him. Once you learn how to have fellowship with God
then you can have fellowship with your fellow Christians.
