Learning
to Understand God
1st
John 4:1
Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because
many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Everybody who comes to you in the name of God is not of God. Some are actually false prophets – people who CLAIM to speak for God through the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
False prophets can come into your life through television evangelism; internet ministries, newsletters; radio programmes; books; tapes; personal one on one evangelism; church etc… that is why it so important for each person to be able to know and recognize the Spirit of God, as outlined by Him in His word.
How To Recognize The Spirit Of God
1st
John 4:2
Hereby know ye
the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh is of God.
Every one who acknowledges that Jesus Christ was born into this world in human flesh just as you and I were born with human flesh is of God – as long as this acknowledgment comes with a lifestyle patterned after the teachings of Christ, as outlined in the Bible.
How To Recognize The Spirit Of Antichrist
1st
John 4:3
And this is His
commandment, that we should believe on the name of
His Son Jesus Christ and love one another as He gave us commandment.
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come and even now is it already in the world.
What To Do When You Are Faced With The Spirit Of Antichrist
2nd
John 5:9-11
9)
Whosoever
transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine (teachings) of Christ hath not
God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the
Son.
10) If there come any unto you and bring not this doctrine (of Christ) receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed.
11) For he that biddeth him Godspeed is partaker of his evil deeds
Observation
What you hear and what you see is not necessarily what is. Use the only standard proven to be true to examine the truth about Jesus Christ. That standard is the word of God.
A
Prayer to Receive Salvation
Dear
God, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ died for
my sins. I ask Your forgiveness of my sins and accept Your Son into my life as
my personal Lord and Saviour. I believe that You
raised Him from the dead and because of this, I know that I can live a
victorious new life in Christ. Thank You for my salvation.
Now
complete the process of salvation by being baptized.
