Before discussing the things which must be hereafter, I felt it necessary to share a teaching on the Gospel of the Kingdom, as outlined by God in His word.

The Gospel of the Kingdom Pt. 2

Life in the kingdom of God

Life in the kingdom of God will be as it was in the beginning of creation, when man and animals lived as one in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 2:19)

The Animal Kingdom

Isaiah 11:6-9 (NIV)
6) T
he wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.
7)
The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
8)
The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest.
9a)
They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain…

Remember that in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the statue was destroyed by a stone that was cut out without hands and this stone became a great mountain that filled the whole earth. This mountain represents the everlasting kingdom of God – The New Jerusalem - that will rule the entire world.

The Knowledge of God

In the kingdom of God, the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God.

Isaiah 11:9b (NIV)
For the earth will be full of the knowledge of God as the waters cover the sea.

No More Sickness

In the Kingdom of God there will be no more sickness.

Isaiah 33:24 (NIV)
…no one living in Zion – the New Jerusalem - will say, “I am ill”

Isaiah 35:5-6 (NIV)
Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.  Then will the lame leap like a deer and the mute tongue shout for joy.

Points to Ponder

The wages (reward) of sin.

Romans 6:23

For the wages (reward) of sin of death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What must I do to be saved from the wages of sin, which is death?

Acts 2:38 (Peter is speaking)

Repent and be baptized ...in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins...

To believe the gospel means that you accept God’s gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, as outlined by Him in His word.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

What does it mean to repent?

To repent means to have sorrow and regret about living our life outside of a relationship with God and as a result, coming into a right relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold all things are become new.

No More Crying

In the Kingdom of God, there will be no more crying.

Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Jesus Preached the
Gospel of the Kingdom

The preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ, go hand in hand.

Mark 1:14-15
14)
Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15)
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

When Jesus preached the Gospel of the Kingdom, He preached about the everlasting kingdom that was foretold in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.

In order to be a part of this kingdom, Jesus said that we must repent and believe the gospel.

What is The Gospel?

The Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ came to save us from our sins. (Matthew 1:21)

The Gospel is the good news that God would be with us through His Son Jesus Christ. (Matthew 1:23)

The Gospel is the good news that Jesus would be great and called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David; and He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end (Luke 1:30-33)

This kingdom is none other than the everlasting kingdom that King Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream.

A Prayer To Receive Salvation

Dear God.
I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ your Son died for my sins. I ask you to forgive my sins and I accept your Son into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour. I believe you raised Him from the dead and because of that, I know I can live a victorious new life in Christ. Thank you for my salvation, in Jesus' name I pray. Amen

Acts 2:38
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, .....
